This weeks request for the hot topic Productivity came from one of our viewers and Samuel and I thought it was a great one! So much so, that we are going to do a series of talks on Productivity for Writers and Entrepreneurs, there are just so many elements to being productive and maintaining your mindset so you can be at your best the majority of the time. This week we looked at Productivity in relation to being a Vegetarian and asked the question whether this really does make the difference to productivity levels. What are your thoughts on productivity? What motivates you to become your best and what makes you have a productive day? Here’s our most recent episode.
In this episode we focus on diet and your productivity, isn’t it just so easy in today’s society to eat on the go and by that I mean not always being conscious about feeding ourselves good healthy, fresh and nutritious foods. Samuel and I both found that being vegetarian has given us some some enhanced benefits of being vegetarian, one of those is feeling more fit, more energy, less sleep required, an overall feeling of being lighter, we also felt this led to an overall increase in ur productivity as a direct result.
It’s important to note that whilst we talk about productivity and vegetarianism, there isn’t yet a proven link that being vegetarian will increase productivity especially if you continue to eat carbs, you can easily affect your productivity by having a spike up and then a sudden drop. When we talk about being vegetarian we are talking about consuming a more plant based alkaline diet with plant based protein included over a consistent period of time.
One of the reasons I switched over recently to a vegan way of living, was a video I watched that really was my catalyst for change. It’s called HOPE 2018, what you eat matters. The video was all about the effects that animal consumption has on our overall health, the effects on our environment in relation to the large scale factories for keeping up with the demand from consumers for protein not to mention the intolerable conditions that these animals are kept in. I’d highly recommend people to watch this just on the subject of self education and certainly if you are looking to become a vegetarian or vegan.
*It’s important to note with the above that if you have any serious health issues please do consult a doctor beforehand as this is not something that may be suitable for everyone.
Here are our Recommendations for more education.
