How I made the leap to Entrepreneurship and into helping others with their online strategies.
Hey, I'm Monica Rafiq
Curious as to what I do?
I help you to build effective online courses and strategies that sell easily and help you to nail your online marketing strategy.
I help you define your niche and increase sales. I totally believe in the potential of every client I serve and help you to build that message and your brand.
I’m a born communicator, I completely value the power of connecting to an audience utilising today’s technology.
I absolutely love working with entrepreneurs and business owners to help them bring their business online through the social media jungle and into clarity for their growth and the value their audience demands.
So where did this all begin and how did I take that leap of faith?
As a young adult, I took countless part time roles to supplement my passion as a student. I worked my way through my degree obtaining a business degree and then decided to pursue a career in pharmaceuticals.
I took a job with a global pharma company and went on to take the standard career progressing through to manager within 10 years.
I really just took the hamster wheel and kept on running blinded by the corporate carrots and what seemed a great package…
But I was not happy (and I knew it).
My real awakening began when I went to see Tony Robbins...
I remember looking up at this sea of people and realised all of them were here to see this one man.
So, what did he have to say? I was intrigued. I had many learning moments that weekend but the one quote that stood out above all else was this…
"I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece, I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk."
That moment on, I committed to a different way of living, a journey that was to inspire, to challenge and to finally step into my own way of being. I quit my job and began the journey of entrepreneurship.
So… What is it that they say about failure?
Failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.
As I went about exploring who I was I failed many, many times. What failure did for me, it allowed me to learn, to apply my lessons, refine my strategy and then become who I am today.
Failure laid the foundation for my success and, without it I would have quit a long time ago and resigned myself to a life of mediocrity.
I have actively run and built businesses in parenting, and property and every single unique experience has added learning’s and colour to my present life which I had not appreciated at the time.
Since we’re friends now, let’s get better acquainted.
- I’m based in the beautiful green hills of England.
- I come from a beautiful teardrop eye island in the Indian Ocean called Sri Lanka, to that end I love coconut water as it reminds me of home.
- I love mint tea, it’s what spurs me through my mornings.
- I played the keyboards from a young age and the eastern violin at concerts throughout London, so my love for music continues with the classical guitar.
- My passion for cycling is huge, my morning rides allow me the clarity of mind and reconnection with nature.
- I am a huge supporter of Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis UK and the Alzheimers Society.
